plotline The plotline of the story is Samuel try’s to steal his moms locket back and get caught and reverend hunt convinces the judge too take him to the new world with him and they do take him and he learns to survive and take care of people when he was their.

Historical connection The time blood on the river was based on was the early 1600s. The book is as pose to remind of how hard that time was in the 1600s.

Connection to text or self This story connects to me because sometimes I don’t need help with things and I get a little picky just like Samuel. Also Samuel fighting with Henry reminds me of my brothers fighting every day.
