MAC enhancements –Multi-dimensional QoS (not just priority, but PER, jitter) –High network throughput (possibly multi-channel operation) –Supports multicast and broadcast Video-specific technologies –Content-specific dynamic link rate adaptation may be specified –Stream-based FEC (possibly packet-based) –Error Concealment: Transmission parameters and WLAN operation that optimizes video quality. –Bandwidth Prediction: It is important for HD video streams which require huge bandwidth allocation –Content protection (security)

(802.11t is moving towards testing video quality) The network has a lot more information than before. The next step is to use this information to achieve higher QoS.
