doc.: IEEE /0040r0 Submission Sept 2005 Tom Siep, Cambridge Silicon Radio PlcSlide 3 Joint Meeting with a Documented in 15/0457r2 and 15/0553r0 Meeting purpose was to clarify directions and details for the creation of a Coexistence Assurance (CA) document by the TG

doc.: IEEE /0040r0 Submission Sept 2005 Tom Siep, Cambridge Silicon Radio PlcSlide 4 Liaison Report from IEEE P Steve S presented 0030r0 liaison report from IEEE P Chair Steve Berger. Document describes scope of P work, but also includes discussion about related areas that may be spun off as P1900.X projects. “Anticipated Structure of P1900.2” looks very similar to work. Steve S also sent him 0031r0 as a liaison describing the work in for the meeting held last week. Next two meetings are Nov 7-10 in Baltimore and Mar 7-10, tentatively in Bolder. Steve S will arrange a conf call with Steve B in the next couple of weeks to answer questions that came up today, discuss possibility of collocation, etc.

doc.: IEEE /0040r0 Submission Sept 2005 Tom Siep, Cambridge Silicon Radio PlcSlide 5 “Detect avoid for MB-OFDM” Presentation The TAG was joined by several members of a at 9:00 to hear Jim Landsford present 0034r0, “Detect avoid for MB-OFDM”. Jim also showed video of spectrum analyzer results showing how UWB signal could be notched out to avoid interference with an incumbent (0035r0).

doc.: IEEE /0040r0 Submission Sept 2005 Tom Siep, Cambridge Silicon Radio PlcSlide 6 “Estimating Packet Error Rate Caused by Interference for use as a Coexistence Assurance methodology” Presentation Steve S presented 0029r0 which is an extension of his previous preliminary presentations on an “analytical model” approach for CA methodology. There is also an accompanying 0028r0 Word document providing a more detailed description. The approach is based on starting with a symbol error rate (SER) instead of a bit error rate (BER) for determining packet error rate (PER).

doc.: IEEE /0040r0 Submission Sept 2005 Tom Siep, Cambridge Silicon Radio PlcSlide 7 Comments on P&P Tom Siep presented 0036r0 for reviewing comments from 802 VP Matt Sherman on P&P document. This is a Powerpoint version of 0032r0 Word document. Discussed each comment and came to resolution. Results captured in 0036r1
