 First the apple goes in your mouth, then it is chewed into tiny pieces mixed with saliva(spit).

 The apple gets swallowed. It travels down the food pipe to the stomach.

 In the stomach the food is mixed with lots of digestive juices. This breaks the apple down into tiny little pieces that can be taken into the body.

 The tiny pieces of food pass into the small intestine. Here all the good bits (healthy sugars, nutrients, minerals, some fats etc) are taken into the body.

The waste products and water pass in to the large intestine here all the water Needed is taken into the body

 What bits are left after the large intestine are waste products. This leaved the body when we go the toilet.
