M.A.G. and W.A.G. There are 6 main disciplines included in M.A.G. and 4 disciplines in W.A.G. <= M.A.G. W.A.G. =>

M.A.G. and W.A.G. 1.- Floor: It is the combination of different gymnastic skills and acrobatic elements (displacements, jumps, spins and balance positions) that are done on the floor (without any equipment), on a quadrangular surface, and where the skills are performed on the square diagonals. => In W.A.G. the performances are accompanied by music.

M.A.G. and W.A.G. 2.- Vault: It is the combination of running (joining different acrobatic skills) and jumping over a vaulting horse, doing different spins (somersault, ringlets, etc.) in the air and landing with both feet on a mat. => The first contact with the vaulting horse is made with their hands and usually after an acrobatic skill such as a back handspring or a round off.

M.A.G. Parallel bars: It is the combination of gymnastic exercises that are done in suspension, or being supported on two parallel bars. The bars are rounded and they are 1,5 m from the floor. => Some examples of acrobatic exercises on the bars are: handstand, somersaults, kips, etc.

M.A.G. Rings: It is the combination of gymnastic exercises done in suspension or being supported on 2 wooden rings. The rings are hung from the ceiling and are 2 meters above the floor.. => Some example of ring exercises are: handstand, crucifix, pike position, etc.

M.A.G. Pommel horse: It is the combination of gymnastic exercises that are done being supported on a wooden horse with 2 rings (pommels) on it. => Some example of skills we can do on the pommel horse are: handstand, scissors, windmills, etc,

M.A.G. High bar or horizontal bar: It is a combination of gymnastic skills that are done in suspension or being supported by a wooden horizontal bar that is placed 2 meters from the floor. => Some examples of gymnastic skills are: swings, kips, handstand, front/ back giants, flyaways, etc.

W.A.G. Bars (uneven bars): It is a discipline similar to the men’s high bar, but with 2 parallel bars placed at different heights. => Some skills we can see in this discipline are: swings, flights, etc.

W.A.G. Balance beam: It is the combination of gymnastic and acrobatic skills that are done over a thick wooden bar (beam), having good control of the body balance and without falling down. The bar is 1 meter high. => Some skills we can see in this discipline are: back handspring, cartwheel, etc.

Rhythmic gymnastics It is the combination of gymnastic and acrobatic skills that are done following the rhythm of music, and manipulating 1 or 2 apparatus. It can be individual or in teams of 5 gymnasts. => The apparatus you can use include: clubs, hoop, ball, ribbon, rope or free hands (no apparatus).

Trampoline Trampoline: It is the combination of acrobatic jumps and spins that are done with the help of a trampoline. It can be individual or synchronized (in pairs) with 2 trampolines. => Some acrobatic skills we can do here are: air somersaults, ringlets, etc.

Trampoline Tumbling: It is an acrobatic sporting discipline which combines some of the skills of artistic gymnastics on the floor with skills of trampoline. It is done over a long and elastic strip.

Gymnastic aerobic It is an aerobic choreography where some gymnastic and acrobatic skills are included. At the beginning it was only practiced by women, but nowadays it is also practiced by men.

Acrosport It is the construction of different shapes and figures with the human body, keeping the balance in pairs or in bigger groups, and with a aesthetic purspose.

NEW DISCIPLINES Break-dance: Its the insertion of gymnastic skills and variations of this skills in hip-hop choreographies.

NEW DISCIPLINES Parkour (urban gymnastics): It is a discipline which comes from France, and it consists of the development of gymnastic and acrobatic skills to beat obstacles that we can find in the urban environment (benches, walls, handrails, etc) with agility and elasticity. This obstacles are nor originally made to be beat this way. => For example: jump over a mail box doing a round off.
