Overview Da Vinci was considered one of the most popular artists of all time. He was a designer, architect, sculptor, and painter. Painted two of the most famous paintings in the world: The Mona Lisa and The Last Supper. The Last Supper

Paintings As stated in the previous slide, Da Vinci painted two of the world’s most famous paintings. The Mona Lisa was named after Lisa del Gioncondo, who was the wife of a merchant. This painting celebrated the birth of their second son. The Last Supper is known as one of Da Vinci’s most controversial paintings. There are many theories surrounding this painting, including the figure to the right of Jesus is not John the Apostle, but Mary Magdalene.

Brief History Da Vinci was born into a peasant family in the territory of Florence. One of Da Vinci’s first paintings was sold to a Florentine art dealer, who then sold it to the Duke of Milan.

One of Da Vinci’s early paintings of the Arno Valley.

This is a detailed painting of the last Supper. As you can see, Jesus is in the middle.

The Mona Lisa has been rumored to be Da Vinci as a woman.

Famous Designs Da Vinci was known as a painter/sculptor, but was also one of the most famous designers of all time. He was the first to conceptualize things like the tank, helicopter, calculator, and solar power.

This is an early design of Da Vinci’s tank.

This is a very artistic sketch of a helicopter.
