POSITION SUMMARY: The Transportation Support group is a diversified group of individuals supporting various transportation, corporate and enterprise initiatives. Several of the on-going and imminent initiatives that may be supported by and participated within include:  Supply Chain - Involving all processes and systems that move product from our vendors to our customers, Supply Chain will help CTC build flexible delivery capabilities to drive its success. Its goals are to enhance Canadian Tire Corporation's: customer service though in-stock position, capacity for growth and, profitability.  Customs Compliance - Implement processes that will ensure Canadian Tire complies with CCRA regulations, including automating the transmission of mandatory data. Various small and medium length transportation initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES: May include some or all of the following:  Collecting and analyzing current state information such as measurements used, current business process and data for various transportation departments.  Creating business cases for change, including business requirements, target end state business process and high level IT processes. REQUIREMENTS:  Working towards a degree in Business, Math or Engineering  Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to develop multiple options/solutions, select best solution, and understand and develop process to address business impacts of option/solution.  Microsoft Office skills (specifically Excel and Access)  Excellent communications skills along with the ability to prepare/present data and analysis to various audiences.  Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced environment with tight time constraints.  Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, ability to prioritize work from various sources.  Customer-service oriented, completely dedicated and committed to total satisfaction.  Ability to develop new processes and adapt as the environment and needs of the operation change.  Statistical analysis/exposure an asset.  Understanding of Supply Chain theory and practice an asset.
