Information and resources – what do you need? NHS Education for Scotland: Developing SSKS and The Knowledge Network to support the Workforce in implementing the Self Directed Support National Strategy and Bill 25 th June 2012

Introduction Quick overview of: –What we are developing? –Who is this site for? –How are we finding out what information people want and need? What have we found out so far? –What are SSKS and The Knowledge Network and why are we developing them when other sites exist? Hearing from you: –Main groups of users –Focusing on one user –How would the user that you have identified like information presented?

What are we doing? To enable the workforce to support people to have choice and control on how their individual budgets are used by: 1.Information - providing access to existing quality assured information, amalgamating and sign posting existing information for practice. 2.Learning resources - seeking to challenge and enhance practice by providing access to resources to encourage reflection and learning.

Who is this resource for and when will in be ready? SDS has relevance to a wide and varied audience, including: –service users, practitioners in health and social services, the new personal assistant role, educators and many more. – Information will be made available to support the social services and health workforce. 9 month project, due for completion by end of January 2013.
