May the force be with you In our theme of ‘May the force be with you’ we linked Maths, Science and DT together.

In Science we had a story about Naughty Nora who bit a hole in Kate’s shopping bag.

Which item of food do you think rolled the furthest?

It was the soup!

5 We made graphs to show our results. We used dog biscuits to help us. Each dog biscuit stands for 20 cm. How far do you think that the soup rolled? It’s the 2 nd column on the graph.

It was 290 cm. Did you get the right answer?

9 We used a pipe cleaner and some string to find out whether putting the monkey far away from the pivot made the force bigger or smaller. We moved the monkeys along the pipe cleaner to see when the force was greatest. What do you think happened?

9 We found out that the force of the monkeys was greatest when it was the furthest away from the pivot.
