I am made to be like Jesus! Created to become like Christ

I am made to be like Jesus! Romans 8:29. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. Eph. 4:15 …in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.

I am made to love God’s people! Hebrews 2:10: In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering. God’s purpose is for you to become like Jesus.

I am made to be like Jesus! Becoming like Jesus means… Troubles Temptations Trespasses (against you) God’s purpose is for you to become like Jesus.

I am made to be like Jesus! Troubles… (Mark 14:34). “ My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death…” …“ ‘Father’ He said, ‘everything is possible for You. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet, I want Your will, not Mine!’” (v36). God’s purpose is for you to become like Jesus.

Temptations… Matt. 4:1: “Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil”… V10 “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’ God’s purpose is for you to become like Jesus.

Trespasses… (Matt. 27:39f) Those who passed by hurled insults at him… Come down from the cross, if you are the Son of God!” In the same way the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders mocked him. “He saved others,” they said, “but he can’t save himself! He’s the King of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him. God’s purpose is for you to become like Jesus.
