Beginnings Library team merged with eLearning team April 2010 under new “Learning Information and Knowledge (LInK) Manager” Opened up options for working with developers in the team

At the same time… Repetition of literature search requests Library users losing results s/print outs Standardise output Expansion of service – training and quality assurance

How to solve the problem Create a database to store search requests and results Use an template so most of the hard work is done for you

And so… CISS – Clinical Information Search System is born.

CISS System allows search question to be inputted, along with –How & where the search is received –what search is for e.g. urgent patient care, audit etc –When required –Format to be sent in – print or

Features Automatically populates template with resources searched, disclaimer, question as inputted, links to hierarchy used All you need do is attach results & other documents and write the CL evidence summary s user directly and copies to the responder

Feedback Version 2.0 Wanted style feedback –Timeliness –Quality –Impact –Free text: A++++ Would search again! Can send reminders if necessary
