Higher History Christmas Holiday Homework.

Homework part 1 You will do a full answer for your how useful picture source. The group practice answer will help. Direct copies will not be accepted.

Homework part 2 Christmas Holiday homework is to do a substantial amount of research for the extended essay (1/3 of final mark). After the Christmas Holidays we will work on this in class however the majority will be done in your own time. The more you do over the holidays, the less you will have to do in January (prelim time!)

1.Decide upon a definite question (You should not leave for Christmas without having a question organised!) 2.Start to organise the information you will include – Mind maps, bullet points, spider diagrams (I will give you a folder and paper home for this) 3. Start to collect quotes which are relevant to the essay (historiography) 4.Collect notes/ information through further reading – borrow book from history library/ reliable websites

Extended Essay During the Christmas holiday, you are also expected to work on your extended essay. Complete a detailed plan. Complete at least one section e.g.  Pre changes in women’s lives.  Political weaknesses of Weimar  The totalitarian state Due – Wednesday 9th January 2013.

Remember! Prelims start on Monday 28th January 2013 Revision is essential! To sit higher history it is not enough to just pass Nabs, you must get a creditable prelim grade as well.
