Blogging Across N.C. Mr. Christensen 8 th Grade U.S./N.C. History

Objective:  You will create a blog that will highlight a theoretical (fancy word for “what if”) journey across the state.  This counts as a 150 point project grade.  You must:  Include at least 2 entries (places) per region (no more than 5).  Address social, cultural, economical, and geographical themes in your posts from each region.  Include appropriate graphics and pictures  Be factually on-point! (Yet… with a sense of adventure)

The “Themes” Explained:  Social/Cultural  What are the people like?  How do they live?  Economical  What do people do for a living?  What is the main industry there?  Geographical?  What does the area look like?  How does the area’s geography affect the other 3 themes? REMEMBER: Your writings about these themes are not based on your opinions or assumptions, but rather on facts you found through research. Save your opinions and imagination for the “storyline.” Keep it “realistic/historical fiction.”
