NOCK ARROW 1.Pick up arrow by the shaft of the arrow near the fletching 2.Keep bow parallel to the ground 3.Nock arrow with index feather up 4.Keep arrow pointing toward the target

SET YOUR HOOKS 1.Place 3 fingers on strings – Use first knuckle or fleshy part of fingers – Use index, middle, and ring fingers below nock – Pinky and thumb do not touch the string – Do not bend second knuckle or clench fist

RAISE THE BOW AND DRAW Stay perpendicular to the target, raise the bow to the ceiling and draw – Make sure you pull string all the way back

ANCHOR Anchor somewhere around your chin or your cheek – The anchor point should always be the same place – The single most important phase of shooting in archery is consistency – Don’t panic…take your time

AIM Using dominant eye or closing the eye farthest from the string, look straight down the arrow at the target – Make corrections in your aim from one shot to the next by moving the bow hand – Don’t panic…take your time

SAFETY CHECKS Make sure finger and knuckle is not near the arrow Slight bend in elbow One last check

SHOOT When aim is good and you’ve gone through your safety checks, just point fingers toward the target
