From Users – For Users 3600 Drying Storage Cabinet Why Do You Need Dry Storage? RoHS Requires Higher Temperatures For Reflow Soldering Components Complying with RoHS must be more Resistant to Temperature than Conventional Components. Higher Process Temperatures Increase the Requirements on the Storage of Moisture-Sensitive Components. The Plastic Packages of ICs particularly Absorb Water. This Water Evaporates during Soldering and Applies Pressure to the Packages. Stress caused by Water Vapor (1700 times the Volume of Water) inside the Package Leads to Delamination and/or Cracks (Popcorn Effect).

From Users – For Users 3600 Drying Storage Cabinet Delamination = Delamination is a Form of Failure of Laminated Composite Materials. Repeated Cyclic Stress, Impact etc. can cause Layers to Separate, Forming a Mica- Like Structure of Separate Layers, with Significant Loss of Mechanical Toughness. Delamination is an Insidious kind of Failure as it Develops inside the Material, without being Obvious on the Surface, much like Metal Fatigue. Delamination Problems may be Detected in the Material by its Sound: Solid Composite has Sharper Sound, while Delaminated Parts sound Dull. Other Non-Destructive Testing Methods Involve Embedding Optical Fibers coupled with Optical Time Domain Reflectometer Testing of their State, Testing with Ultrasound, Infrared Imaging, etc.

Vom Anwender – für den Anwender 3600 Drying Storage Cabinet Innovative Drying Storage Cabinet Developed by Users for Users New, Simple and Affordable Technology Using Compressed Air Controlled Use of Compressed Air (NOT Permanently Used) Humidity Level under 5% Guaranteed by the Optional Use of Nitrogen 1 % Possible as well Extendable by Two Additional 3601 cabinets (6 Chambers), all of them Controlled by the 3600 Control Display From Users – For Users

3600 Drying Storage Cabinet Innovative Drying Storage Cabinet RM Michaelides Realized that a Drying Storage Cabinet must Provide Different Humidity Levels. Therefore, RM Developed a Drying Storage Cabinet with Three Separate, Independently Controlled Chambers. Different Humidity Levels can be Set for each Chamber. Low Consumption and Costs Operating Data Provided via CAN, RS232, Bluetooth, USB, WLAN or GSM Integration into Process Traceability is Possible

Compressed Air Control Performed by the Drying Storage Cabinet (Example) Actual / Setpoint Humidity(%) From Users – For Users 3600 Drying Storage Cabinet Door Opened Humidity Returns to Pre-Determined Level Controlled Intake of Compressed Air

From Users – For Users 3600 Drying Storage Cabinet Example for how the Control Works in an Extreme Case: Target Setpoint Value: 1% RH

From Users – For Users 3600 Drying Storage Cabinet Stable Conditions in the Cabinet: Duration 30 min

From Users – For Users 3600 Drying Storage Cabinet Application Example Two 3601 Drying Storage Cabinets Connected to a 3600 Drying Storage Cabinet
