How to Calculate Sperm DNA Fragmentation Index After sample processing with Halosperm®, stain the slide with DIFF-QUICK®/Panoptic stain Check the sample with a bright field microscope, and classify 300-500 sperm cells as follows:

How to use the following training slides Use the first 5 slides to learn how to classify each sperm cell. Use the last 3 slides to practice calculating sperm DNA fragmentation on your own.

Example 1 Normal= 10 Fragmented= 4 SDF= 28.5% fragmented normal normal

Example 2 Normal= 17 Fragmented= 6 SDF= 26.1% normal normal fragmented

Example 3 Normal= 19 Fragmented= 1 SDF= 5% normal normal normal normal

Example 4 Normal= 15 Fragmented= 3 SDF= 16.6% normal normal normal

Example 5 Normal= 10 Fragmented= 3 SDF= 23.1% normal normal normal

Normal= 16 Fragmented= 7 SDF=30.4%
