El nino la Nina By Kelly burgess Homeroom:Mr.shepard

What are El nino la Nina The storm have more power than a million hiroshima bombs The El nino and la nina storms are the two extremes of the oceans atmosphere El nino has a dramatic affect on the world wheather pattern The storms are tracked by the temperature of the surface

The conditions The el nino: is caused by the trade winds relax in the pacific.this leads to warmer water temperatures,in the eastern and central pacific because upwelling is reduced La nina: occurs when cooler than usual ocean temperatures occur in the eastern pacific.

How long they last El nino: they last like 18 months and only occur every 3-5 years La nina: only occur 3-5 years but last 1-3 years

g

when phenomenon happens It could happen at anytime El nino: It is caused by trade winds relaxing in the pacific this leads to warmer water temperatures in the eastern and central pacific because upwelling is reduced. La nina: caused when cooler than usual ocean temperatures occur in the eastern pacific.

Is it dangerous El nino: is very deadly it killed close to 2,100people in It caused at least 33 billion dollars worth of property damage. by Kristen Fox and John McNally
