Anaerobic and Aerobic Respiration. What is the difference between aerobic respiration and anaerobic respiration?
RESPIRATION breakingfood release energy 1. The process of breaking down food molecules to release energy. 2. Convertsglucose ATP 2. Converts the energy.
Anaerobic Respiration - Fermentation Fermentation allows the production of a small amount of ATP without oxygen.
Anaerobic Respiration. Key Concepts What happens if your body cannot supply enough oxygen to sustain cellular respiration?
Cellular Respiration. Chemical Energy and Food Food provides living things with the chemical building blocks they need to grow and reproduce. Food is.

Dr. T. Tanbouli EFFECT OF OZONE AND AEROBICS ON PHYSICAL FITTNESS AND ANTI OXIDANT LEVEL IN MENTALLY RETARDED CHILDREN BY DR. T. TAREK TANBOULI, PROF. M. NABIL MAWSOUF & DR. RASHA MOHAMED RIAD

Dr. T. Tanbouli Why Mentally Retarded Children ? People with special needs are becoming a very important issue among the whole world. This includes physical, psychological and mental needs People with special needs are becoming a very important issue among the whole world. Dr. T. Tanbouli Why Ozone and Aerobics ? The programme of intellectual education could not achieve the best target to incorporate these groups and rehabilitate them to become positive constituents in the society. Objectives

Dr. T. Tanbouli To evaluate the efficacy of aerobic exercises and medical ozone administration in enhancing the physical fitness and improving the antioxidant level in mentally retarded children.

Dr. T. Tanbouli Persons and Methods

Dr. T. Tanbouli Persons This study included 20 mild degree of mentally retarded children (slow learners), 12 male and 8 females. There age ranges between 10 and 12 years This study included 20 mild degree of mentally retarded children (slow learners), 12 male and 8 females. There age ranges between 10 and 12 years

Dr. T. Tanbouli Results

Physical fitness increased 11.55% in group I and 53.7% in group II. Physical fitness increased 11.55% in group I and 53.7% in group II. Reduced glutathione increased 19.91% in group I and 32.81% in group II. Reduced glutathione increased 19.91% in group I and 32.81% in group II. Oxidized glutathione increased 13.1% in group I and 23.8% in group II. Oxidized glutathione increased 13.1% in group I and 23.8% in group II. All changes were statistically significant. All changes were statistically significant.

Dr. T. Tanbouli Physical Fitness Scores before and after Aerobics and Ozone in both Groups

Dr. T. Tanbouli Reduced Glutathione before and after Aerobics and Ozone in both Groups

Dr. T. Tanbouli Oxidized Glutathione before and after Aerobics and Ozone in both Groups

Dr. T. Tanbouli Conclusion

Aerobic exercises and medical ozone administration were capable of enhancing the physical fitness and improving the antioxidant level in mentally retarded children, much more evident if they were combined together.
