Welcome to Zakhara

Whoever pointed out the cars in the first slide – loose 2,000 experience points

Scenes of Life A glimpse from a tower; a glimpse from the street

Intriguing Architecture Walls, inside and out

Inside the domes Marvels of the architecture of your society

One last glimpse A scene from any possible courtyard

Outside the city Where the dates grow – rivers and irrigation near the city

Outside the city (not desert) The wadi – upriver after the rains

Outside the city (beyond the water ways) The dry grasslands (mangrove trees)

Between city and desert Beyond the grasslands – before the sandy deserts

Between city and desert Last stop before the desert – quiver trees

The Desert Welcome to the desert baby (thats salty water)

The Desert Not everything is sand – this is the hard packed dirt at the bottom of a dry lake and some salt marshes

The Desert See, trees survive here, so can you

Plants/Flowers More plants, found throughout Zakhara – Yes James, these are desert squash

Finally, the wildlife Reptiles – bottom right and top left are not harmful

Bottom of the food chain Yes, those things above me do look delicious

In the skies

What the big boys eat The grazing herds (yes a desert goat)

Some predators Not pictured – asiatic lion

The End FYI – all these images are from the middle east, which is a basis for my ideas on Zakhara. Some people use American desert fauna and flora for their campaigns (coyotes and cactus), but I wanted something with a middle eastern feel. Richie – welcome to your home
