Simple Facts About The Republic of Uganda (1)  Location: East Africa, west of Kenya N, E  Capital City: Kampala  Airport: Entebbe  Independent: 1962  Population: 25.8 million (UN, 2003)

The Republic of Uganda (2)  Area: 236,040 sq. km, 36,330 sq. km is water  Climate: Tropical – rainy with, two dry seasons of, Dec. – Feb. & June – Aug  Weather: 15 c. – 29 c.  Mountains:Rwenzori. Highest peak 5,110 m.
