Outlines Data source Export Import On Import Matrix 2012

Data source Custom Merchandise export/import in HS-8 digital by different trade types. Administrate records on processing trade (for import matrix) Co-operation survey with Custom on the import used (for import matrix) Tariff 、excise and VAT information by each merchandise ( in communication……) China Import from China (143 bn$, 2012 )

Data source SAFE OTHERS Balance of payment 2012 The cross – border transaction  information (for import matrix) OTHERS Foreign exchange income from international tourism( calculated according to sample surrey, by National Tourism Administration and NBS China)

Export Correspondence table between the HS-8 and IO sectors.(some HS-8 items may not one-to-one correspondence) Sum the value of merchandise correspondence to the same sectors. The services export (except travel) data on the BOP .

Export Decompose ‘travel’ items into special goods and services by .‘foreign exchange income from international tourism’ , then add up to the correspondence sectors . Price adjustment (purchase price to producer price )--- transport margin and trade margin.

Import Correspondence table between the HS-8 and IO sectors. .(some HS-8 items may not one-to-one correspondence, and unclassified item ) Sum the value of merchandise correspondence to the same sectors. Price adjustment (basic price to producer price ),---Tariff 、excise and VAT.

Import The services (except travel) import data on the BOP . Transport and insurance adjustment, for the fob and cif. Decompose ‘travel’ items into special goods and services by .‘foreign exchange income from international tourism’ , then add up to the correspondence sectors .(use the export information)

Export/Import The goods data are different with custom trade data and BOP data. The service data also different with BOP, for the price adjustment and travel item. For SNA 2008, ‘goods send abroad for processing’ would be adjustment (in China, Processing supplied material).how to deal with the processing services?

On Import Matrix 2012 The imports data would be more carefully distinguished under the different types of trade. Then Classification by Broad Economic Categories will be used to distinguish them as intermediate used goods, consumer goods and capital goods. Re-export would be consider in the import matrix.

On Import Matrix 2012 Administrate records on processing trade. Co-operation survey with Custom on the import used. Some merchandise under the processing trade would be adjustment. The cross–border transactions information from SAFE.
