Figure 1 Full-Length MAVS and miniMAVS Are Produced from a Single Bicistronic Message Full-length MAVS (MAVS) and miniMAVS are produced by a complex web of interlaced leaky-scanning events. Reinitiation after translation of uORF leads to production of the truncated miniMAVS, which inhibits the signal transduction pathway initiated by MAVS during viral infection.
