Free College Planning Resources! College planning and career exploration tools.  Lots of engaging videos and concrete examples.  Created and maintained by College Board. https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/ College planning and career exploration tools.  Created and Maintained by ACT. http://www.act.org/content/act/en/products-and-services/act-profile.html College planning tools.  Allows students to track their high school accomplishments and successes over time and store the information in their “locker.”  Allows students to share their application materials with any mentor they choose.  This could be a school counselor, but could also include a teacher, principal, community leader, parent, other family member, etc.  There is also a Coalition admissions application and documents from the locker can be easily into a student’s application.  Students using the locker are not required to use the Coalition admissions application.  Everyone is able to use the locker and collaboration features for free.  Created by 120 US colleges and universities dedicated to access, affordability, and success.   https://mycoalition.org/ Tutorials for many academic subjects plus free online test preparation.  When students take the SAT or PSAT they can link the results to Khan.  A customized study plan is created for students within Khan based on their testing.  This lets students focus on building knowledge and skill in areas where they had difficulty on the tests.  This is a partnership between Khan Academy and College Board. https://www.khanacademy.org/ College planning information and videos.  Known for the admissions application, Common App has added college planning information.  Common App is a nonprofit college membership organization. http://www.commonapp.org/ Career exploration tools and college planning tools for North Carolina colleges and universities.  There are also applications for some North Carolina colleges and universities on this site.  Created and maintained through a partnership with a variety of North Carolina educational entities and CFI, Inc. https://www.cfnc.org Several downloadable guides to college planning for students, families, and others. https://www.nacacnet.org/news--publications/publications/#accordion_1
