Active learning works compared to students in traditional lectures, students in classes that employ active learning see their grades: decrease stay about the same increase by a small but statistically significant amount increase by half a letter grade increase by a full letter grade 1 minute Pose this multiple choice question. At minimum, it forces them to consider the material more deeply. Plus, it draws on the natural human tendency to find out if they are right.
