Presentation transcript:

Teacher Registration for MathXL® for School Step 1: Go to www.mathxlforschool.com Step 2: Under Register select Educator. Add pages where teachers are directed to request teacher access?

Step 3: Do you have an access code? If you have a teacher access code, select “Register.” If you need a teacher access code, select “Request code now.” Once you’ve received your code, return to this screen to complete registration.

Step 4: Read and accept Pearson’s Privacy Policy and Licensing Agreement.

Step 5: Step 6: Do you have a Pearson Education Account? Select “No” if this is your first time using MathXL for School. Select “Yes” if you have used MathXL for School in the past or if you participated in a free trial. After selecting “Yes,” you will need to enter your old username and password. Note: Select "No" if you have a Pearson Account for one of these products: Dash, Mobile eText for School, Pearson Realize, Pearson SuccessNet, or SuccessNet Plus. Step 6: Access Code Enter your teacher access code.

Step 7: NEW ACCOUNTS First Name, Last Name Enter your first name and last name. Email address Enter your email address. Use an email address that will allow you to receive emails from Pearson in case you lose your username or password. School Location After entering your school zip code, a list of schools will appear. If you don’t see your school, scroll to the bottom to select OTHER, then manually enter your school information. RETURNING ACCOUNTS Confirm or modify the account information presented to you.

Step 8: Step 9: Click Log In Now to log in and create a course. In the future, visit www.mathxlforschool.com to log in. Step 9: After logging in, click Enter MathXL for School.

Create Your Course Step 1: Select Course Manager to create your first course.

Step 2: Step 3: Click Create or copy a course. Choose the type of course. Most courses are Standard; Coordinator/Member courses are used when setting up multiple courses in the same school or district based on the same content and assignments. Name your course. Choose a textbook or universal course to serve as the basis for your course.

Step 4: Step 5: Set course start and end dates. If other teachers may need to copy your course, check the “allow copying” box at the bottom of the screen. Step 5: If other teachers may need to access your course, determine the level of access they should be granted.

Step 6: View the default table of contents of your course. All content is included by default. De-select chapters, sections, or objectives that you would like to exclude. Step 7: Review testing options at the top of the screen, and select those that apply. Selection merely enables the option for tests in your course. De-select learning aids that you would like to exclude from all assignments in your course.

Step 8: After saving, you’ll see the Course Settings Summary page. You can return to this page and adjust your settings at any time via the Course Manager. Step 9: Important: Write down your Course ID. Students need this to enroll in your course. Click the Course ID to view and print “getting started” instructions for students and/or parents.

Step 10: Run the Browser Check by clicking on the Question Mark icon The Browser Check will help you install any software your computer might need to run MathXL for School. After installing software, close and re-open your browser. Your setup for MathXL for School is now complete! Step 11: Have a computer administrator run the browser check for any computers on which students will need to work in MathXL for School.
