The Greatest Spiritual Gift 1 Corinthians 13:13

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13

“Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.” 1 Corinthians 12: 7-11

When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. None of this is to discount the use of spiritual gifts but limits them to an orderly manner or do not use them, it is not necessarily up to you, if and when you use the spiritual gift you were given. It is up to God when it is needed and the Holy Spirit will determine that.” 1 Corinthians 14:26,33,40

“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” 1 Corinthians 13:1-7
