1 Business in General Introduction Anyone of us might be thinking of establishing his or her own business in the future. You might be dreaming of building your empire in the business world, or just a small venture in your locality. Before going deeper into that, let us first discuss the business in general, how it was developed and what is its culture. 1 Lesson Contents The business culture Business in General Lesson Contents The business culture Business is the evolutionary growth of various activities developing from a simple to complex system. Its primary objective is to satisfy the consumers’ basic and secondary needs. Profit is the driving force of business but over the years, it evolved and changed to aiming the delivery of social responsibility to the society. Business, in a legal sense, is involved in the production of goods and services, aimed to meet the economic needs of consumers, of course, with an objective of eventually earning profit. As the business grew, man started to hire people in order to meet the demands of the public (clients). An act that provides jobs for people. Then, people earns money and part of that earning goes back to the businessman because people buy products from business owner for personal consumption. The likes of Socorro Ramos of National Books Store, Rolando Hortaleza of Splash Corporation, and Ricardo Cuna of Fiorgelato Ice Cream are examples of these successful entrepreneurs in the country today. Identify their success factors and share them in the class.
