REC Ethics approval: 17/SC/0649 IRAS ID: 234938 Do you have patients with OA of the hands that might be interested in taking part in a research study? We are researchers from the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases (RNHRD) & University of West of England (UWE) looking for People with painful hand OA to take part in a study. This is to investigate how the brain responds to visual illusions that can be used to reduce pain in patients. Session 1 is at RNHRD, Bath & session 2 is held at Reading University where participants will have an MRI brain scan. Participant travel costs are covered Dr Jenny Lewis, Senior Occupational Therapist, RNHRD and Senior Lecturer, UWE is the Principal Investigator. We will provide recruitment packs for you to give to your patients. These are self explanatory and contain all the information and contact details patients will need about the study.
