EBM Article Review ACP Journal Club These articles are summarized in value-added abstracts and commented on by clinical experts. The specific purposes of ACP Journal Club are: EBM Article Review To detect, using pre-stated criteria, the best original and review articles on the cause, course, diagnosis, clinical prediction, prevention, treatment, or economics of medical disorders managed by internists and related sub- specialists, and on quality improvement and continuing medical education intervention trials in internal medicine To summarize this literature in the form of "structured abstracts" that describe the objectives, methods, results, and evidence-based conclusions of studies in a reproducible, accurate, and applicable fashion To provide brief commentaries on the context, methods, and clinical applications of the findings of each article by clinicians with a high degree of expertise in the topic of the article who have declared no conflict of interest

EBM Article Review Database of Abstract of Review of Effects DARE contains summaries of systematic reviews which have met strict quality criteria. Included reviews have to be about the effects of interventions. Each summary also provides a critical commentary on the quality of the review. The database covers a broad range of health and social care topics and can be used for answering questions about the effects of interventions, as well as for developing guidelines and policy making.
