2018: from story-gathering to Citizens’ Jury Story gathering - 2000 stories from across the population Citizens’ Jury - an in-depth examination of a key question to arise from the stories

How we’re doing this… Organisations - to recruit and support Listeners Listeners - to collect people’s stories People - to tell their stories Story gathering Organisations - to recruit and support Listeners Listeners - collect stories from people and support them to use the self-interpretation tools Individuals - provide and interpret their own story Citizens’ Jury Jurors - recruitment details will be promoted through our website and mailing list

A tool for collecting stories Enables self-interpretation of a story Creates quantitative data, backed up by narrative - produces stats as well as stories Removes the need for people to say if something was ‘good’ or ‘bad’, and why that was the case, or what could have been changed People can record their own story or someone else can collect it from them

An in-depth event where members of the public deliberate complex policy issues Specifically organized to be as inclusive as possible Jurors examine evidence and question ‘witnesses’ before reaching conclusions and recommendations Outcomes shared with Welsh Government, social care professionals and people in Wales.
