Objective of OA To understand the ground realities of the functioning of organization To understand how community is managing the ECE/BALABADI

Vision of Education wing of SERP An entire generation of children; free from the burden of poverty; born, educated (pre primary through elementary, secondary, higher secondary, higher education) and employed gainfully is the vision of the education sector within IKP

Why SERP? This organization's primary objective to provide better livelihood by alleviating poverty in rural areas through empowerment of women(SHG) Already running many activities. So know the situation of rural area No other organization doing this completely

Selection of villages Mandal: Mandals where Health and Nutrition centres are running Mandals where Institution Building is strong. Mandals with higher proportion of SC/ST population/PoP. At present ECE centres are opened only in rural tribal mandals Village: Villages having higher number of children between the ages of 2 – 5 belonging to the Poorest of Poor (POP) families 8

Location of ECE centre in the village Must be nearer to the place where population of kids are more. The place should be away from ponds and wells. The place should be easily accessible.

Instructor/teacher Local person The candidate must have fluency in speaking the local dialect. The candidates with cultural and artistic talents will be preferred. The Instructors selected through a Written Test and Interview which is conducted by an expert team from the state level resource team. The Instructors are trained at the State level resource centers. Provide the children what they gained during training He should treat them carefully Maintains good relationship with parents Maintains registers
