The Member of Parliament What they do and how they represent us.

Two types of MP In we have the RIGHT to elect types of MPs To represent us in the United Kingdom Parliament (the House of Commons) we elect MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT (MP) To represent us in the Scottish Parliament we elect – Members of the Scottish Parliament Scotland TWO MSPs

Representing Us An MSP is elected by us the voters, so, really, every time the MSP speaks or takes part in something you could say that it is us who are speaking! We are being represented So, MSPs / MPs represent us in a variety of ways both inside and outside of Parliament
