EX/6-1 Heavy Impurity Transport in the Core of JET Plasmas M Valisa , C Angioni, R. Bilato, F J Casson, L Lauro Taroni, P Mantica, T Pütterich et al. Tungsten behaviour in the core of JET Baseline H-mode and Hybrid scenarios understood. Neoclassical and turbulence (NEO+ GKW) 2D predictions of W behaviour match well experiment (SXR +Bolometry) and JETTO interpretive simulations, including LBO experiments Neoclassical transport is the dominant channel in the core for W, largely affected by centrifugal forces and electrostatic poloidal asymmetries. Peaked density profiles make W prone to accumulation. Sawteeth flush W out and allow stationary baseline H-mode discharges. Hybrid scenario , with no or less sawteeth, liable to W accumulation. ICRH controls W : flatter density profiles, temperature screening and anysotropy of heated minority 2D W density in hollow (left) and accumulation (right) phases and equatorial plane cut (centre) with comparison between theory based model predictions and interpretive modeling of SXR
