KEYBOARDING TECHNIQUES Implement proper keyboarding techniques 1.01

Proper Posture Sit up straight Feet flat on the floor Body centered in front of the computer Elbows should fall naturally by your side Fingers curved Wrists low, but not touching the keyboard Quick, snappy strokes

Your fingers should be… Rigid Curved Straight Flat

Technique Quick down and in motion of the thumb Right pinky is used for the Enter key; other fingers remain on the homerow Use the appropriate pinky for each shift key Examine the keyboard carefully to form a mental picture of the layout (you will eventually memorize the entire keyboard)
