MONTH 7 Can distinguish voices Eyes begin to blink and eyelashes form Baby looks like it will at birth, just thinner and smaller weighs about 2 lbs Will be forcefully kicking and moving Producing hormones that cause the mother to secrete breast milk

MONTH 6 Bone marrow starts to produce blood in addition to the liver and spleen All the major senses complete Inner ear develops the baby’s sense of balance A baby can survive if born

MONTH 5 Has vocal cords and can cry, can hear Bones begin to harden, baby’s size increases dramatically Has hair on head, weights about one pound, and is about 12 inches long

MONTH 4 Genital organs differentiated, swims, kicks, grasps with hands, but still not felt by the mother Skin completely developed, hair begins to develop Bone layers form and calcium deposits in bone Can make facial expressions, voluntary muscle movements
