Woodland Hills School District Computer Network Acceptable Use Policy

Acceptable Use Policy The goal in providing network and account service to students is to enable learning

Acceptable Use Policy Access to the network is a Privilege not a Right.

Acceptable Use Policy Inappropriate, unauthorized or illegal use of network resources will result in Disciplinary action

Acceptable Use Policy Users should have no expectation of Privacy While using the computer network.

Acceptable Use Policy Any person identified as a security risk or having problems with other computer networks or systems may be Denied access

Acceptable Use Policy Network users will not reveal or share their User ID or Passwords with other individuals.

Acceptable Use Policy Vandalism is defined as any attempt to harm or destroy data of another user, Internet or other networks. This includes, but is not limited to, the uploading and creation of computer viruses. Vandalism will result in Disciplinary and/or legal action

Acceptable Use Policy List prohibited uses: Playing games Hacking or try to hack into other resources Logging on as another user Using the network to plagiarize someone’s work Using the network to cheat

Acceptable Use Policy 4 Guidelines that must be followed to protect the integrity of the network are: Don’t share usernames or passwords Don’t try to access unauthorized areas of the network Don’t download files Don’t install outside software of any sort

Acceptable Use Policy If a user unintentionally violates the network policy they should Notify their teacher or staff member

Acceptable Use Policy Spamming is defined as Sending unauthorized or unwelcome emails

Acceptable Use Policy Loading or use of unauthorized Material, programs, files or other electronic media is prohibited

Acceptable Use Policy Impersonation of another User is prohibited

Acceptable Use Policy The purpose of the internet is to Allow students to do research

Acceptable Use Policy WHSD reserves the right to restrict or prevent access via its networks by any means including: Account suspension Denial of privileges Password protection Monitoring
