MENTOR PREPARATION TASK FORCE Task Force assembled February 2018 ACE National staff, ACE National board members, affiliate leaders Monthly Task Force calls Revamp online mentor training to prepare mentors for dealing with difficult student situations Develop detailed training handbook for affiliate leaders

NATIONAL MENTORING RESOURCE CENTER The National Mentoring Partnership (MENTOR) National Mentoring Resource Center (NMRC) Received 50 hours of free technical assistance Local chapters throughout the country can provide free technical assistance for your affiliate

MENTOR TRAINING Revised Online Mentor Training Implemented for 2018-2019 program year Expanded Reporting Policy If a student discloses or a mentor suspects that a student is a victim of abuse, bullying or neglect, or is a danger to themselves or others, the mentor MUST: Report this concern to your affiliate leader. Together with the affiliate leader, ensure that the concern is reported promptly to the student's school or guidance counselor, or the on-site teacher or school champion.
