The Bears on Hemlock Mountain Author: Alice Dalgiliesh Genre: Fiction Created by: Austin W.

Summary All of Jonathan’s family always comes to eat. He has a baby cousin that is being named Christened. After that everyone is coming to his house to eat. His Mother doesn’t have a big enough pot to cook stew in.

Setting Jonathan is eight years old. It is winter time and cold weather. Even in spring there is snow on the ground. The birds, squirrels, and the rabbits had a hard time finding anything to eat.

Main Character Jonathan is eight years old and he lives in a farmhouse. He loves all the animals and likes to feed them. He likes his uncle James best of all. He always wanted to see a bear. Jonathan’s mother sent him over the mountain to his aunt’s house.

MY OPINION I thought this was a good book. I also thought it was full of adventure. I would like to get to see all the animals that Jonathan got to see. Also I would like to climb a mountain. It would be fun to have all of those animals.
