What is actually happening there? Columbus encountered a large canoe off the coast of what is now Honduras filled with trade goods he boarded the canoe and searched the cargo of cacao beans, copper and flint axes and heaps more, he took one prisoner and all the items he wanted. In the 1510s the Spaniards waged war in central America slaughtering the natives. He had won and conquered the Aztecs by 1521.

Why is this happening? The conquistadores were fighters looking wherever they could to find gold. There search for gold eventually led them to the Americas and north Mexico where they stumbled upon the Aztecs and attacked them for there gold

What could be done to stop this? One of the most obvious options that could prevent this is for either A) the aztecs pay the conquistadores there gold in return for peace OR B) The conquistadores, upon the denial of gold, look elsewhere for gold and stay at peace with the aztecs

Who is causing this? Christopher Columbus and la conquistadores accompanied by a group of spanish warriors who were very skilled in fighting and made most of there living out of plundering gold and fighting for spain
