Snow Gold By Joella Maes

I staggered out of bed, thinking how aggravating it was to go to school, when I finally looked outside and it was snowing!

I went into the living room and flicked on the TV. It was definitely a snow day!

I put on my boots, coat and gloves, took out a shovel and scampered outside.

My grandma said that when she was little, she and her brother found gold buried in our yard,

So, today I knew I was going to find that gold.

I started digging. At 1 foot I decided that I should make the hole wider. Then suddenly, I felt something hard in the dirt.

I sifted the dirt off the mysterious object, It was gold alright, but it wasn't the shape I thought it would be. It was a gold skull!

I went inside to look up what I found on the internet. it was a famous discovery! My mom told me that we should put it in the museum. I didn't want to, but I knew I had to.

Now, the museum has something of my grandma and me, and that is my story of snow gold.
