Today we will be learning to: add and subtract add a one-digit number to a teens number.

Mental Activity Play ‘Round the table’.

Sit in groups with people you do not normally work with. Your group will need: • a pen a big sheet of paper.

The child holding the pen is the ‘leader’. The leader chooses a multiple of 10. Writes it on the piece of paper. Circles the number.

Subtract the dice number from your circled number. I will throw a dice. Subtract the dice number from your circled number. Write your answer next to your number.
