Colour and Colour Combinations Pre-school and Elementary School School and home activities

Rationale Pre School Elementary The children are going to learn about Colour Mixing in an exciting way, which will motivate them to actively participate. The children are going to explore colour separation by investigating chromatography. This will allow the children to develop an understanding of colour mixing and splitting.

Core Concepts The child will be enabled to: Pre-School Elementary Identify and name different colours Mix primary colours to create (and name) secondary colours Recall the milk experiment Define Chromatography Explain the process of chromatography Describe the experiment in the correct order
