Opening title sequence analysis

Sound https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DITGDIOxIWw The sound we hear through out the 0.T.S is very load, cluttered and complicated. This could suggest the narrative for the film is going to complicated. The sound is non dietetic. It has been added during post production. It starts off with several sounds playing at the same time, this implies the film going to be disorientated. It then goes into a shriek for a while, with the sound of a spinning blade being pushed into something. Then goes back to nearly the same sounds as the beginning. It ends with near silence with a ominous sounds getting quieter and quieter.

Mise en scene The sweat dripping down his face implies he is very scared, this is reinforced by his wide eyes. Also he has bruises, lumps and cuts on his face. This suggests that their is action in this film, giving the impression it could be a action thriller like Se7en.

Props The gun is a prop. The gun suggests that the person holding it is in control, that they have all the power. The lighting is very dark and de saturated. This implies the film will be dark with a chilling narrative. Also it uses a lot of blues and blacks, this reinforces the point that the film is a thriller, as it is a typical thriller trait. Lighting

Cinematography This close up shot shows the emotion on his face. Also it shows his bruises, implying he has been in a fight suggesting the film also has action. Furthermore its a high angle shot, this implies that the person holding the gun has power, that their in control.
