What is GAAC? GAAC = General Aviation Airport Coalition Founded in 2010 to give an exclusive, unified voice to General Aviation Airports Current GAAC Team

Current Industry Obstacles Muddied federal presence in Washington, DC Threat of additional unfunded mandates Municipal budget reductions Lack of national information sharing network No central repository for best practices Disagreements with communities over noise, expansion, etc.

How and What GAAC Will Do FEDERAL FOCUS Federal advocacy campaigns on federal issues such as: AIP Entitlement Fees TSAs Large Aircraft Security Program Aviation user fees Demonstrate the importance of GA Airports to federal decision makers GAACs federal affairs team will work on: Identification and meetings with key federal agency officials and Members of Congress Securing additional members for the GA Congressional Caucus Increasing the profile of GA Airports within the FAA Testifying at congressional hearings Coordinated and targeted legislative lobbying
