The Neglected Doctrine

Three Horrible Elements of Hell The Sinner says, I dont want God! So God is not there.

There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, Thy will be done, and those to whom God says, in the end, Thy will be done. All that are in Hell, choose it. Without that self-choice there could be no Hell. -C.S. Lewis

"Better to reign in hell than to serve in heaven." Paradise Lost, John Milton, English poet ( )

I willingly believe that the damned are, in one sense, successful, rebels to the end; that the doors of hell are locked on the inside.

Three Horrible Elements of Hell The Sinner says, I dont want God! So God is not there. The Sinner says, I want myself! So he gets himself.

The characteristic of lost souls is their rejection of everything that is not simply themselves.

A damned soul is nearly nothing: it is shrunk, shut up in itself. Good beats upon the damned incessantly as sound waves beat on the ears of the deaf, but they cannot receive it. Their fists are clenched, their teeth are clenched, their eyes fast shut. First they will not, in the end they cannot, open their hands for gifts, or their mouths for food, or their eyes to see.

Three Horrible Elements of Hell The Sinner says, I dont want God! So God is not there. The Sinner says, I want myself! So he gets himself. The Sinner says, I want to be happy without God. This is high treason and is punished for eternity.

Luke 13:24-28 "Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. 25 When once the master of the house has risen and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, 'Lord, open to us,' then he will answer you, 'I do not know where you come from.' 26 Then you will begin to say, 'We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.' 27 But he will say, 'I tell you, I do not know where you come from. Depart from me, all you workers of evil!' 28 In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God but you yourselves cast out.

Matthew 7:19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

Matthew 8:11-12 I tell you, many will come from east and west and recline at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, 12 while the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

Matthew 13:41-42 The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law- breakers, 42 and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 18:8 It is better for you to enter life crippled or lame than with two hands or two feet to be thrown into the eternal fire.

Matthew 22:13 Then the king said to the attendants, 'Bind him hand and foot and cast him into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

Matthew 25:30 And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth....' 25:41 "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

God eternally smiles upon the redeemed, but He eternally frowns upon the wicked. He is the witness and the cause of their misery, but He is not moved by it. He does not relent or sympathize. He never swerves from His intention to glorify His justice through their punishment.
