How To Crack a Interview?

1. Research the Company Basic information about the company. Vision Mission Key achievements Recent projects Key personnel

2.Analyze job description Analyze the key focus areas of role and responsibilities you have applied for. Make a list of points to justify how you are capable of achieving these specific duties.

3. Stick to the BASICS Cover your Subject area’s basic concepts. Brush up the fundamentals of the subject areas and its applications on the company.

4. Prepare for the test Written test Aptitude test Psychometric tests Group discussion

5. Prepared for potential interview questions Tell me about yourself? Describe who you are? Why should I hire you? Why do you want this job? Where do you see yourself in five years?

6. Be Punctual Plan your route to reach 30 minutes before the scheduled time. Reaching before time will also help you to get relax before the interview. “Late Comers are rejected early”

7. Stay focused and Clear Listen carefully to everything the interviewer is saying Match their pace of talking to better connect with them Maintain clarity of speech Project confidence and clarity of thought Have a good communication skills Avoid mumbling If you do not know the answer, be honest about it.

8. Maintain good body language Sit upright and keep a smile on your face Make a eye contact which shows your confidence Don’t slouch in your seat Don’t sit in laid back position 33% of employers figure out within the first 90 seconds of an interview.

9. Be Professional Be professional Don’t act overfriendly Don’t use casual slang or jargon Avoid statements on race, religion, politics Be in a polite and formal manner.

10. On the Point Be direct in your answers In case you don’t know the answer, politely accept it and ready to learn. Don’t try guesswork or try to fool the interviewer Tough questions may come to you to test how you perform under pressure.

11. Mention your strengths Be confident and informative about your strengths Don’t be arrogant Be clear and concise

13. Define your career goal Your career goal or objective should be clear in your mind Be prepared for defining your objectives Do not leave it general which may signify lack of ambition and clarity Talk about how you expect to grow in your field.

14. Follow the interviewer’s lead Follow interviewer’s lead in their way of talking and professional behavior It shows you listen well and adapt the company’s environment. If get a chance to ask a question then ask relevant questions related to job and department. Avoid any random questions.

15. Stay motivated “A positive attitude always opens up your mind” Don’t appear to be sad, too nervous, demotivated or disappointed if the interview is not going in your favor. You have to handle the pressure with grace and keeping your mind cool. “Don’t try to control the things which is beyond your control otherwise you will end up losing control on yourself”

16. Gratitude Remember to thank to the interviewer for their time and consideration. Most importantly note the point which you learned from the interview.
