5 Hygiene Yes Or No?

6 Hygiene Keep your hair neatly combed and done. Nothing too crazy or wild. Make-up, if worn, should be basic and not garish. Don’t smell! Use deodorant! Remove any piercing or cover and tattoos that might make you look unprofessional.

7 Be Prepared Arrive 10 minutes early
Have your application already filled out if possible. Bring a resume if required Make sure you have on you the names and phone numbers of references. Turn off your cell phone! Don’t bring uninvited guests like parents, loved ones, or pets

8 First Interaction Shaking Hands Body Language Eye Contact
Introduce yourself and say something like “I’m pleased to meet you.” Pay attention to the interviewer’s mood—if they are formal, you should be too!

9 Speech Try to avoid slang Do NOT use any swear words!
Speak professionally. Don’t say “like” and “whatever.” Speak respectfully and at a good level.

Ask Questions about the company Is this somewhere you want to work? Don’t be afraid to ask questions about the company

12 Know the Company Do research in advance to find out about the company
Let the interviewer know that you know something about them.

13 Answering Questions It’s not always what you say, but how you say it. Be professional! Practice beforehand answering common questions in interviews.

14 Common Questions Tell me about yourself.
Why do you want to leave your current job? (Why did you leave your last job?) What are your strengths? What are your weaknesses? Which adjectives would you use to describe yourself? What do you know about our company? Why do you want to work for us? Why should I hire you? What past accomplishments gave you satisfaction? What makes you want to work hard? What type of work environment do you like best? How do you handle pressure and stress? Explain how you overcame a major obstacle. Where do you see yourself five (ten or fifteen) years from now? What qualifies you for this job?
