Introduction Mobility,Flexibility,Responsiveness Getting More Demands .. Device with small sized have some limitations.. Cant make buttons and screens large without losing benefit of small sized.. Microsoft Introduces new flesh-control input technology-”Skinput”

What Is Skinput? Touch-Screen gadgets have become popular due to the advantages Microsoft Introduce Skinput Technology. Skinput Turns The body into a touch-screen interface.

Principal Of Skinput Skinput allow the users simply tap their skin in order to control mobile applications. It applies the use of series of sensors to determine where user taps on their arms. Each part of body creates different type of vibrations depending on features of bones, muscle and tendons..

How It Works?

Pico-Projecter Small sized Projecter to display menu. Widely used in gadgets like mobile & camera

Bio-Acoustics & Sensors Study of sound waves inside living body… When a finger taps the skin , distinct forms of acoustics energy are produced.

Processing: Model Vibrations are captured from sensor & Converted into Digital signal form. This Is Connected to the mobile Bluetooth. A software to match sound frequencies to specific skin location is used. Corresponding Action is implemented in Device.

Experimental Condition

Skinput Advantages No need to interact with gadget directly. Don’t have t worry about keyboard. It can be used for a more interactive gaming experience Peoples with large fingers gets trouble in navigating tiny buttons and keyboards on mobile phones.

Skinput Disadvantages The visibility of the projection of the buttons on the skin can be reduced if the user has a tattoo located on their arm. The easy accessibility will cause people to be more socially distracted.
