What is Democracy?

Government is… Group that has the power to make and enforce laws (rules) for a country

Democracy is… A system of government where the power is held by the people. The people get to make the decisions

There are two main types of democracy: direct democracy and representative democracy. Direct democracy is when the people make the decisions themselves through voting. Representative democracy is when people elect others to make decisions for them.
