How can we remember the forms of energy? Cam Newton

Cam Newton Got Really Excited Making Stinky Tacos

Cam – C = Chemical Newton – N = Nuclear Got – G = Gravitational ------------------------------ Really – R = Radiant Excited – E = Electrical Making – M = Mechanical Stinky – S = Sound Tacos – T = Thermal

1. Cam = Chemical Energy stored in the bonds of atoms and molecules.

2. Newton=Nuclear Energy stored in the nucleus of an atom. The energy that holds the nucleus together.

3. Got=Gravitational . Energy of place or position. The higher it is, the more gravitational energy it has.

4. Really=Radiant (Light) Energy that electromagnetic waves carry

5. Excited=Electrical Movement of electrons creates electrical current.

6. Making=Mechanical The sum of PE and KE in a system.

7. Stinky=Sound Movement of energy through substances in waves.

8. Tacos=Thermal The sum of KE and PE of the particles that make up an object (Heat).
